22-year-old Marta Kostyuk is one of the best young players on the WTA tour. She achieved her career-high singles ranking of No. 16 in June 2024, after her surprise run at the 2024 Australian Open, where she reached the quarterfinals. Kostyuk has won one singles and two doubles WTA titles in her career so far.


As a junior, Kostyuk won some prestigious tournaments, such as the Orange Bowl and the 2016 'Petits As'. She also won the Australian Open girls' singles title and the US Open girls' doubles title in 2017. Her highest junior ranking was world No. 2, which she achieved in October 2017.


Kostyuk made her grand slam debut at the Australian Open in 2018, and defeated Peng Shuai in the first round, becoming the youngest player to win a main-draw match at the Australian Open since Martina Hingis in 1996.

Kostyuk also has two sisters, Zoryana and Mariya. Her sister Mariya Kostyuk played college tennis for Chicago State University and Southeast Missouri State University. Her younger sister Zoryana is also a tennis player.


Kostyuk represents her home country in many international tournaments, including the Fed Cup. Her record in Fed Cup competition is 10–4.

Marta Kostyuk has won three WTA titles in her career so far, one in singles and two in doubles. She won her first WTA singles title at the ATX Open in 2023, where she defeated Varvara Gracheva in the final in straight sets.


Kostyuk won her first doubles title in 2022, at the Slovenia Open with Tereza Martincova, where they defeated Tereza Mihalikova and Cristina Bucsa in the final.
