Martina Navratilova quit as Agnieszka Radwanska’s coach after just four months of assuming the role. The 18-time Grand Slam singles champion said that she couldn’t dedicate enough time for the job.
"I am stepping down as Agnieszka's part-time coach. I think I under-estimated the time it would take to make this a proper and good situation for both Agnieszka and me. I really enjoyed working with Aga and her whole team and I wish her all the best for the rest of the season, “ Navratilova said.
The American joined Radwanska’s team with the aim of helping the Polish girl winning her first Grand Slam. However, things have gone south since she took over in December last year. Radwanska ended 2014 ranked six in the world, but has slipped to No. 9 in the world at the moment. Her best result this year has been a semifinal apparance in Katowice.
The 2012 Wimbledon finalist lost to Sara Errani in the first round of the Stuttgart Open last week. Radwanska took to twitter to thank Martina for all the help.
