Djokovic celebrates his 13th title

By defeating Kevin Anderson in straight sets on July 15, Novak Djokovic won his 13th Grand Slam title. This was his first Slam win since winning the French Open in 2016.

Djokovic came around at a time when Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were dominating the tennis circuit. He won his first Grand Slam title by defeating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in the final of the 2008 Australian Open. He won his remaining slams after 2010, winning a total of 6 Australian Open titles, 4 Wimbledon titles, 2 US Open titles, and 1 French Open title.

He faced quite a few fitness and temperament issues at the beginning of his career, but as he progressed, he became one of the fittest tennis players on the tour.

His 5 hour 53 minute marathon win against Nadal at the 2012 Australian Open final will be remembered by the tennis fraternity for years to come.
