Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner
Top seed Carlos Alcaraz takes on tenth seed Jannik Sinner on Saturday (March 31) for a place in the Miami Open final.
Alcaraz put in a sublime performance against home hope Taylor Fritz in the quarterfinals on Thursday night. He dropped only six games to move to within two wins of a Sunshine Double and improve to 18-1 on the season and 10-1 in Miami - the scene of his maiden Masters 1000 title a year ago.
The Spanish teenager opened his season with a title at the Argentina Open before his perfect start was interrupted by Cameron Norrie in the Rio de Janeiro final. He returned to winning ways at Indian Wells, where he ended Daniil Medvedev's 19-match win streak to usurp Novak Djokovic as World No. 1. With four wins in Miami, Alcaraz is riding a ten-match win streak of his own and needs two more wins this fortnight to remain at No. 1.
Meanwhile, the 11th-ranked Sinner is having another impressive campaign, improving to 20-4 in 2023 with a win over Emil Ruusuvuori. The Italian, coming off a semifinal run at Indian Wells last week, is now 12-2 in Miami.
Earlier, Sinner won his first title of 2023 in Montpellier before losing to Medvedev in the Rotterdam final. He has also made the Australian Open second week this year.
Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner head-to-head
Alcaraz leads the pair's head-to-head 3-2. The World No. 1 has taken his last two meetings with Sinner - 2022 US Open semifinals (five sets) and the Indian Wells semifinals last week (straight sets) - en route to the title on both occasions.

Carlos Alcaraz vs Jannik Sinner prediction
Alcaraz and Sinner are arguably two of the most talented young players in the sport.
Both largely look to dominate opponents from the baseline but have formidable hardcourt games - big serve, powerful groundstrokes off either flank, and elite athleticism and mentality. Alcaraz, though, has the edge in terms of his penchant to hit winners from seemingly inconceivable angles.
The two players match up well against each other, which makes this contest a tough one to call. Their Indian Wells semifinal was a straight-set win for Alcaraz, but they went the distance in the US Open quarterfinals last year. Considering the form the Spaniard is in, it's hard to look beyond him.
Pick: Alcaraz to win in three sets
