Second-seeded Felix Auger-Aliassime will kickstart his 2025 Open Sud De France campaign when he takes on local favorite Arthur Cazaux in the first round. Auger-Aliassime had a mixed start to the 2025 season, as he won one match (against Taylor Fritz) and lost one match (against Borna Coric) during Canada's campaign at the United Cup.

However, after that, the Canadian player won his sixth career title at the Adelaide International. He defeated the likes of Arthur Cazaux, Marcos Giron, and Tommy Paul to reach the final, winning 6-3, 3-6, 6-1 against Sebastian Korda in the summit clash. However, Auger-Aliassime could not sustain the momentum at the Australian Open, as he lost 7-6 (5), 7-6 (5), 4-6, 1-6, 3-6 to Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the second round.
