Britain’s Andy Murray, who defeated Serbia’s Novak Djokovic in Monday’s men’s singles final, had a tough third round match against Spaniard Feliciano Lopez, three of the four sets going into a tie-break.

Third seed Murray’s run up to the title (prefix number denotes seeding):

First round: Beats Alex Bogomolov, Russia, 6-2, 6-4, 6-1

Second round: Beats Ivan Dodig, Croatia, 6-2, 6-1, 6-3

Third round: Beats 30-Feliciano Lopez, Spain, 7-6 (7/5), 7-6 (7/5), 4-6, 7-6 (7/4)

Fourth round: Beats 15-Milos Raonic, Canada, 6-4, 6-4, 6-2

Quarter-final: Beats 12-Marin Cilic, Croatia, 3-6, 7-6 (7/4), 6-2, 6-0

Semi-final: Beats 6-Tomas Berdych, Czech Republic, 5-7, 6-2, 6-1, 7-6 (9/7)
