The 2024 Hall of Fame Open will witness a clash of young Americans when fourth-seeded Christopher Eubanks will take on second-seeded Marcos Giron in the semi-final. Eubanks entered the Hall of Fame Open on the back of a very poor 6-15 record in the 2024 season. The American, who was within the Top 30 last year, has fallen beyond 100 in the ATP rankings this year.

Eubanks had a small revival when he reached the quarter-finals of the Terra Wortmannn Open, losing to Zhang Zhizhen. However, he was not able to back that performance as he lost in the first round at the 2024 Wimbledon Championships against Frenchman Quentin Halys.
Eubanks has played a couple of good matches at the Hall of Fame Open. After a first-round bye, he defeated Ethan Quinn in three sets in the second round. Eubanks had to win a third-set tiebreaker to get past Aleksandar Vukic in the quarter-finals.
Playing on the grass has seemed to suit Marcos Giron in 2024, as the young American has a 7-4 record on the surface which is better than his overall 16-17 record in the season. He reached the quarter-final of the Terra Wortmann Open, losing to Hubert Hurkacz. Giron has got some big wins on grass this year. He defeated former Wimbledon champion and World No. 1 Andy Murray in the opening round of the BOSS Open in Stuttgart. During his campaign at the Terra Wortmann Open in Halle, Giron defeated another Wimbledon finalist in Matteo Berrettini and got better of a top 10 player like Andrey Rublev to reach the quarter-finals.
