Rafael Nadal was in a jolly mood during a recent French Open press conference. He answered questions with a smile on his face and joked about his difficult situation where he is in good form in practice but is unable to replicate that in matches.
Nadal had multiple funny moments from his press conference. In the beginning, the Spaniard asked everyone to get the big question about his final French Open appearance out of the way. He kept the uncertainty in the air by claiming he was still unsure about it but wanted to avoid similar questions in the future.
He was also asked how he felt about his son coming to watch him play at the French Open. The 14-time winner hilariously shrugged it off saying his son was too young to understand what his father was doing.
The official X account of Roland Garros posted the best bits from Nadal's press conference.
Fans on X enjoyed the jolly mood that the 22-time Grand Slam winner was in. They called him a comedian and loved his cheeky side. One fan wrote:
"A comedian first, legendary tennis player second."
Another wrote,
"The comedian of his generation."
"I just love cheeky Rafa," a third fan wrote.
"How can you not love Rafa," another one added.
"Not sure i’ve seen him so relaxed and confident in press conference. I’ll miss him sm," wrote one fan.

Rafael Nadal still unclear if French Open 2024 is his last - "Maybe the last one, maybe not"
Before his emotional farewell following his 2024 Madrid Open elimination, Rafael Nadal had announced that it would be his last appearance in Madrid. Later, following his elimination in the Italian Open, Nadal created an air of uncertainty as he did not say if that was his last Italian Open appearance.
Similarly, during his French Open press conference, Nadal was unsure about the future.
“Maybe the last one, maybe not... I hope to be clear. I don’t want to create a big confusion, but I’m enjoying what I am doing. Sorry, but I am feeling competitive in the practices,” he said.
In a blockbuster 2024 French Open first-round tie, Nadal will go up against Alexander Zverev on Monday, May 27.
