"A real champion on and off the court"- Coco Gauff parts ways with coach Diego Moyano 

Coco Gauff has parted ways with her coach Diego Moyano after working together for a year.

Moyano started training with the American at the start of the 2022 season and produced some impressive performances under his tutelage. She reached her maiden Grand Slam singles final at the French Open and also entered the top 10 of the WTA rankings.

The Argentine took to social media to announce that he had split with Coco Gauff due to personal reasons. He also called the 18-year-old a real champion on and off the court.

"THANK YOU!! After a fantastic year where we achieve many great things I have to stop working with Coco due to my personal reasons. Thank you so much for this amazing year plenty of memories," Moyano wrote on Instagram.

"It is really a pleasure to work with you @cocogauff a real champion on and off the court. Want to thank Gauff’s family for the trust and support along this year. You guys have been amazing. And want to thanks as well the team that worked hard with me to achieve the goals," he added.

Coco Gauff took to Twitter to thank Moyano and stated that she hoped he would spend some quality time with his family.

"Thanks for an incredible year on tour together and a lot of great memories with the team. I hope you enjoy some quality time at home. As you always say, time to keep building," Gauff tweeted.

Coco Gauff ends Miami Open outing with women's doubles title

Coco Gauff had a disappointing singles tournament at the Miami Open as she lost to Anastasia Potapova in the third. However, the teenager fared better in the women's doubles event, where her partner was Jessica Pegula.

The pair were seeded second and won their third WTA 1000 title by beating Leylah Fernandez and Taylor Townsend 7-6(6), 6-2 in the final. This was their second triumph of the 2023 season, having previously successfully defended their title at the Qatar Open.

Coco Gauff has won 15 out of 20 singles matches so far this season, winning the ASB Classic in Auckland. She is next scheduled to represent the United States in the qualifying round of the Billie Jean King Cup later this month, where they take on Austria at Delray Beach.

After this, she will compete at the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix in Stuttgart.
