World No. 23 Katie Boulter has expressed her support for Alex De Minaur's new mentorship program for youngsters. The Australian will take on an interesting role for aspiring tennis players on the tour in 2025.

Boulter was last seen competing at the Hong Kong Open, where she reached the final. Despite a valiant effort against Diana Shnaider, she was beaten by the Russian in straight sets 6-1, 6-2.

The 28-year-old championed De Minaur's efforts to develop future tennis starts on tour. On her Instagram account, she shared a post from him that detailed his plan for youngsters who wish to turn pro.

De Minaur's initiative presents a unique opportunity for youngsters to earn different types of rewards while competing in more than 250 local tournaments in a year. Known as 'The De Minaur Tour', it includes a scholarship program designed to support high-achieving juniors, providing them with resources, mentorship, and a pathway to advance their careers.

The 25-year-old spoke about the importance of passing on the knowledge to youngsters and wished to help Australian athletes become the best version of themselves before turning pro.

Alex De Minaur said (via Tennis.com.au):

“For me it was very important as a young kid to come out to Europe and see the competition abroad. It taught me a lot of lessons of all the things I had to work on – the routines, the work ethic, the professionalism – that ended up helping me through my whole career and shaping who I am today.
“Mentorship is super important, and I’ve been fortunate to have learnt so much from my mentors over the years. I want to pass on the knowledge I’ve gathered throughout my journey and help young Aussie athletes to improve and become the best version they can be."
