Alexei Popyrin and long-time girlfriend Amy Pederick get engaged in romantic beachside proposal

Australian player, Alexei Popyrin, recently got engaged to his long-time girlfriend, Amy Pederick. He shared a bunch of pictures of the special moment with his fans.

Popyrin wrapped up his 2024 after competing at the Paris Masters, where he reached the third round. He beat Matteo Berrettini and Daniil Medvedev in the first two rounds before falling to Karen Khachanov 6-7(5), 4-6.

Popyrin is currently in his off-season and is seemingly having the time of his life with his long-time girlfriend, Amy Pederick, as he shared their special moment in a recent update on Instagram. Popyrin recently shared a bunch of pictures on his Instagram handle on November 28, where he announced his engagement with Pederick.

The very first picture showcased the romantic beachside proposal, where he was sitting on one knee, and she had a surprise reaction. In the other pictures, the couple is seen sharing an adorable kiss with each other, which was followed by a cute selfie with Pederick flaunting her ring.

Alexei Popyrin clinched his maiden Masters 1000 title at the Canadian Open this year. He got the better of players like Tomas Machac, Ben Shelton, Grigor Dimitrov, Hubert Hurkacz and Sebastian Korda to advance to the final of the event. He then competed against Andrey Rublev in the summit clash, ultimately winning 6-2, 6-4.

Following this win, his girlfriend, Amy Pederick, lauded him on her Instagram story. She shared two stories, of which one carried the Aussie's winning moment and in the other one, she appreciated him for his win.

Alexei Popyrin also competed at Wimbledon and the US Open this year. At the grass court Major, he fell in the third round to Novak Djokovic, 6-4, 3-6, 4-6, 6-7(3). In the last Grand Slam of the year, he made it to the fourth round where he was beaten by Frances Tiafoe 4-6, 6-7(3), 6-2, 3-6.
