World No. 12 Tommy Paul will begin his quest for a maiden Major title at the ongoing Australian Open. He will face Christopher O'Connell in the first round on Monday (January 13). Aside from his team, he also has his girlfriend, Paige Lorenze, by his side in Melbourne.
Paul has been in a relationship with 26-year-old Lorenze since 2022. She attended the Burke Mountain Academy in Vermont, where she aspired to be an alpine skier. She later moved to New York City to study at the Parsons School of Design and graduated in 2021.
Lorenze has since become a leading influencer and entrepreneur. She got her start on Instagram posting about fashion and related fields, and then launched a vlog on YouTube in 2020. She also unveiled her own lifestyle brand, Dairy Boy, in 2021, selling clothes and other accessories.
She has also pivoted to posting about suburban or country life over the past couple of years after focusing on fashion. She features Paul on her vlog from time to time, giving fans an insight into the life of a tennis player. She opened a pop-up shop of her brand during the US Open 2023 as well, which was quite a hit.
Lorenze frequently accompanies Paul to various tournaments and balances her own professional commitments at the same time. Along with her boyfriend, their photoshoot during the Cinch Championships trophy presentation last year created quite a stir. She's now rooting for him to make another deep run at the Australian Open, where he reached the semifinals in 2023.
Tommy Paul in the same half of the draw as Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz at the Australian Open 2025
If Tommy Paul wins his first-round match against Christopher O'Connell at the Australian Open 2025, then former top 10 player Kei Nishikori awaits him in the second round. The American will be favored to win his third-round match against either Roberto Carballes Baena or Dominic Stricker.
A potential fourth-round date with sixth seed Casper Ruud or 29th seed Felix Auger-Aliassime awaits Paul after that. He could bump into second seed Alexander Zverev in the quarterfinals, followed by a semifinal showdown against either 24-time Major champion Novak Djokovic or third seed Carlos Alcaraz.
Should Paul advance to his maiden Major final, then he's likely to face defending champion and World No. 1 Jannik Sinner. The American has a rather tough draw if he wants to claim his first Grand Slam trophy, with some of the world's very best in his path to the title.
