Amanda Anisimova has reacted to Daria Kasatkina's video of her hotel room view in Ohio during the 2024 Cincinnati Open. The Russian lightheartedly poked fun at the view in response to people who find her lucky for being able to travel around the world.
The World No. 12 recently arrived in Cincinnati to take part in the WTA 1000 event being played at the Lindner Family Tennis Center in Mason, Ohio. She uploaded a TikTok video of her room where she showed the seemingly underwhelming view from her hotel room window.
In what is a lighthearted joke for people who consider her professional travels a boon, Kasatkina captioned the video sarcastically repeating a phrase she might have heard a lot from such people:
"'You're so lucky you get to travel everywhere for work.'"
Daria Kasatkina's video reached Amanda Anisimova and it had her amused as the American reposted it on X (formerly Twitter) and said, beginning with emojis:
"😂😂😂😂 lollllll"
Notably, Anisimova's reaction came just hours after she burst into tears post her 2024 Canadian Open final against Jessica Pegula.
The 22-year-old returned to action this year after taking a break to prioritize her mental health and reached her fourth WTA-tour level final in Canada. However, she lost the final 3-6, 6-2, 1-6 and let out her frustration by throwing her racket, before tearing up on the bench.
Amanda Anisimova and Daria Kasatkina will next take to the courts in Cincinnati.
