Amanda Anisimova has rewarded herself with a couple of special gifts during the offseason after a hard-fought 2024 tennis year. The American has been frequently chronicling her off-season escapades with her fans.
Anisimova is currently enjoying the off-season before she jumps back into the tennis calendar for the 2025 season. She has kept her fans in the loop with whatever she has been up to, including famously bidding her naturally blonde hair adieu to dye her hair brown to become a brunette.
The American took to Instagram recently to share with her fans that she had rewarded herself with some 'big a**' kombucha and therapy as she continued to rejuvenate herself ahead of the 2025 tennis season. She held the bottle of kombucha for her Instagram story, in which she expressed her delight.
"A big a** kombucha and therapy," she wrote.
Amanda Anisimova's friend shared an adorable picture of the 23-year-old hugging a panda plushie amid a bunch of stuffed toys in a shop. Anisimova also reshared the image on her Instagram story. She also shared a before and after photo of herself as she glammed up but joked about how she was 'still tired'.
Anisimova had a year marred with injuries and ended the year with an underwhelming 21-13 record. However, she had a brilliant run to the final at the National Bank Open where she defeated the likes of Daria Kasatkina, Aryna Sabalenka and Emma Navarro en route.
"My goal is just to do my best" - Amanda Anisimova on freeing her perspectives after returning to the tour from her mental health break
Amanda Anisimova took a mental health break from tennis in April last year following which she returned to action during the ASB Classic. She sat down for a chat with a WTA Insider ahead of her return where she mentioned that her mindset going forward was not to burden herself with pressure and try and do her 'best'. She said (via the WTA Tour):
"With each day, getting the most I can out of myself. Going into this season, there have been people asking me what are your goals. In the past, I would have specific answers for them. Now my goal is just to do my best, what's in my control, get the most out of each day that I can and that's all that I can expect from myself."
"Going in with that perspective is more freeing. I put in the work every single day and I have the mental and physical capacity to do that, which I didn't have before, which is a much better feeling now," she added.
Amanda Anisimova is currently ranked 36 in the world with a semifinal run to the French Open and a quarterfinal run to Wimbledon in her tennis resume. She also won the Copa Colsanitas in 2019 and the Melbourne Summer Set in 2022.
