Amanda Anisimova shared her before and after photos in newly dyed brunette locks, asserting that she was tired in both. The tennis player has been enjoying the off-season after strong performances at the 2024 Australian Open and US Open and making her first WTA 1000 final at the Canadian Open.

Anisimova, who held a career-high ranking of World No. 21, had major breakthroughs in 2019. She defeated Aryna Sabalenka at the Australian Open to reach the fourth round and Simona Halep at the French Open to become the youngest semifinalist in over a decade. Having reached the fourth round of the 2022 Australian Open by defeating defending champion Naomi Osaka, Asinimova made her first Wimbledon quarterfinals that year.

Anisimova recently competed at the 2024 Korean Open, upsetting the sixth-seeded player Yulia Putintseva in straight sets. After her 2024 season, she attended a close one's wedding and enjoyed Thanksgiving on a beach vacation. In a recent Instagram story, she showed off a no-makeup look with sunglasses on, captioning:

The 23-year-old missed almost eight months in 2023 due to injuries and a mental health hiatus. Returning to the court at the 2024 ASB Classic, she entered as a wildcard to the tournament's main draw but lost to Marie Bouzkova in the second round to end her run for the win.

Amanda Anisimova faced defeat in the first round of the 2023 Madrid Open and announced a break from the sport in May 2023. Having dealt with mental health issues and burnout, the 23-year-old opened up about the difficulties of tennis that fans hardly comprehend by just watching the players on the court.

Anisimova said, as per WTA Insider on December 31, 2023:

"I think a lot of people who follow us on social media or watch tennis casually, they don't really understand it fully. I don't think anyone does unless you're in it, just how overwhelming and difficult it can be."

Anisimova further noted how the tight and demanding schedules made her mindful of planning for breaks or rest days.

"It can be very draining and isolating. I need to keep that in mind and make sure that I'm taking breaks and taking a rest day and resetting before the next one."

Amanda Anisimova made it to the 2024 Australian Open, her first Grand Slam after the hiatus, defeating Liudmila Samsonova, Nadia Podoroska, and Paula Badosa to reach the fourth round of the tournament.
