Andre Agassi and Coco Gauff's ex-coach Brad Gilbert was stunned to see New York Yankees superstar Aaron Judge struggle during the American League Division Series clash against the Kansas City Royals. Judge, widely regarded as one of the best baseball players in the world, doesn't seem to be having his usual rhythm during the 2024 MLB playoffs.

The Yankees topped the American League due to which they became the top seed and received a bye in the Wild Card Series. They were put up against the Royals, who defeated the Baltimore Orioles, to reach the Division Series.

Aaron Judge, who had 58 home runs and 144 Runs batted in during the regular season, was one of the huge reasons the Yankees topped the league. However, the 2022 AL MVP seems to be struggling in the playoffs, with only one hit to his name in the three games so far.

This also surprised Coco Guaff's ex-coach Brad Gilbert, who took to X (formerly Twitter) to express his astonishment at the situation. The 63-year-old also said he hadn't been following much playoff baseball other than Shohei Ohtani's LA Dodgers.

"Watching some playoff baseball ⚾ haven’t watched much other then Ohtani @FellerBob since I don’t have team anymore for the 1st time in my life, I got Yankees on and flipping back and forth with weather channel, surprised 😮 the Judge 👨‍⚖ struggling," Coco Gauff's ex-coach tweeted.

He then pondered if there was any sport other than baseball where a star player would struggle 'mightily' during the playoff season.

"Not sure there is another sport where a superstar can struggle so mightily in the playoffs like baseball," Gilbert added.

However, Judge's struggle hasn't stopped the other Yankees from stepping up as they won the third game 3-2 to go 2-1 up in the Division Series.

Coco Gauff's ex-coach Brad Gilbert had also reacted to the controversial error made by chair umpire Carlos Bernardes during the second-round match between Stan Wawrinka and Flavio Cobolli at the 2024 Shanghai Masters.

The umpire, who was seemingly distracted when Wawrinka scored a point in the second game of the deciding set, accidentally registered two points to Cobolli when the Italian won the second point of the game. This proved costly for the Swiss as he would get broken and go on to lose the match 7-6(8), (4)6-7, 3-6.

Brad Gilbert was infuriated with how things went down and took to X (formerly Twitter) to state that the error was 'inexcusable'.

"How does that basic mistake happen and was not corrected, did not see the match if this happened inexcusable," the 63-year-old said.

Brad Gilbert and Coco Gauff had a phenomenal outing at the North American hard-court swing in 2023, where the American clinched the Cincinnati Open and the US Open. However, they couldn't replicate results during the swing this year, following which the two decided to part ways.

Coco Gauff announced Matt Daly as her new coach and the two debuted their partnership at the China Open where she reigned supreme.
