Andre Agassi was all heart for his wife Steffi Graf as the American shared a photo of the German carrying the US Open displayed at the USTA Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The American has arrived at the venue for US Open Fan Week which will be held from 19 August to 25 August. Agassi will compete in the 'Stars of the Open' event where he will team up with Carlos Alcaraz for an exhibition.
The photo is from the German's triumph at Flushing Meadows from 1989 where she successfully defended her title. Seeded first, Graf breezed past her opponents to reach the quarterfinals where she met the eighth seed Helena Sukova, who also proved to be no match for her.
The 55-year-old had to dig deep for the first time in the tournament in the semifinals when she came back from a set down to knock third seed Gabriela Sabatini to reach the summit clash. Another resilient display from the German saw her turning things around 3-6, 7-5, 6-1 to defeat second seed Martina Navratilova and successfully defend her title. She won the trophy five times in her career.

The German is the only player in history to complete the calendar Golden Slam, a feat she achieved in 1988. Agassi became the first man to complete the career Golden Slam when defeated Andrei Medvedev in the final to clinch the French Open in 1999.
