Eugenie Bouchard recently reacted to Andre Agassi hilariously dismissing Andy Roddick's greatness. The former top-five player was left in splits by how Agassi hyped up the Canadian to put down the 2003 US Open champion.
Agassi, his wife Steffi Graf, Roddick and Bouchard are set to be the stars at Pickleball Slam 3, which is scheduled for Sunday, February 16, 2025. The exhibition pickleball event will be hosted at the Michelob ULTRA Arena in Las Vegas' Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino.
Agassi and Roddick were on the same team at the inaugural edition of the Pickleball Slam last year, and eventually won the event, triumphing over John McEnroe and Michael Chang. However, at Pickleball Slam 3, Andre Agassi is slated to team up with wife Steffi Graf, with the power couple having won Pickleball Slam 2 earlier this year. Meanwhile, Andy Roddick is set to partner Eugenie Bouchard.
Recently, in a promotional video released in the buildup to the event, Agassi, sitting alongside Graf, said:
"This year, at Slam 3, I'll be facing one of the greats of the game (referring to Eugenie Bouchard), and also Andy Roddick."
Eugenie Bouchard recently took notice of the video and shared it via an Instagram Story with the caption:
"Hahahaha Andre @agassi"
In another promotional video, Agassi and Graf sent a warning to Roddick and Bouchard ahead of Pickleball Slam 3.
Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf put friendliness aside to send Pickleball Slam 3 message to Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard
In November, a video posted by the official Instagram handle of Pickleball Slam featured Andre Agassi and Steffi Graf acknowledging their friendly bond with both Andy Roddick and Eugenie Bouchard. However, the power couple warned Roddick and Bouchard that on the day of Pickleball Slam 3, the American-Canadian duo will be their collective "enemy".
"We just want you to know, Andy and Genie, that to us, you’ll always be family," Agassi and Gauff traded lines.
"Andy, you’ve been like a younger brother to me," Agassi said.
"And Genie, you spent time down here in Las Vegas with us," Graf added.
"But on February 16, you are the enemy. Can’t wait to see you," Agassi and Graf concluded.
Roddick, who partnered Agassi at the first Pickleball Slam, later hilariously suggested that the latter 'kicked him out' because he has "a wife who's the best of all time as an option."
Agassi and Steffi Graf won the second edition of the Pickleball Slam after defeating John McEnroe and Maria Sharapova.
