Former World No. 1 Andre Agassi has reacted to the 2024 US Open semifinal thriller between Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz. Fritz's qualification marked the first time an American would be in the final of the US major since Andy Roddick faced Roger Federer in 2006.

Under the bright lights of Arthur Ashe Stadium on Friday night, Taylor Fritz defeated Frances Tiafoe 4-6, 7-5, 4-6, 6-4, 6-1 to reach the first Grand Slam final of his career. Fritz will now face Jannik Sinner in the final.

During Agassi's career, he won the gold medal at the 1996 Olympic Games and claimed eight Grand Slam singles titles, including the US Open in 1994 and 1999. He had an 80.6% win percentage at the US major, and the last time he reached the final was in 2005, when he lost to Roger Federer, just a year before his retirement.
