Andy Roddick's wife Brooklyn Decker reacted to Taylor Swift endorsing Kamala Harris for the upcoming presidential election. The pop icon's endorsement comes after the presidential debate between Harris and Republican nominee Donald Trump.
Harris and Trump squared off in their first presidential debate on September 10. They discussed many topics like the economy, racism, immigration policy, and abortion, among others. Following the debate, many news publications declared the Democratic candidate as the winner. Al Jazeera stated that 'Kamala Harris rattled Trump', with The New York Times echoing the same sentiments. Fox News voters and panelists also crowned Harris as the winner.
Harris seemingly secured two wins in one night as she received the endorsement of pop icon Taylor Swift. She is arguably the most famous pop star in the country with a considerable following among youth. Whether Swift's support will sway any voters remains to be seen but Harris' running mate Tim Walz has welcomed her endorsement and said to CNBC:
"I'm grateful to Taylor Swift and I say that as a cat owner. That was eloquent and clear and that’s the type of courage we need in America."
Brooklyn Decker also shared Taylor Swift's endorsement on her Instagram story.
Swift categorically stated that she would vote for Harris and Walz in the upcoming election after careful consideration and thorough research. The billionaire pop star signed her message as 'Childless cat lady', a seeming dig against Trump's vice presidential pick JD Vance. He was quoted as saying during an interview with Fox News in 2021 (via NPR):
"Democrats, corporate oligarchs, and a bunch of childless cat ladies who are miserable at their own lives and the choices that they've made and so they want to make the rest of the country miserable, too."
