As Christmas draws near, model-turned-actor Brooklyn Decker, who is married to retired American tennis star Andy Roddick, has shared which holiday-themed movie has caught her attention this year.
'Dear Santa', starring comedy icon Jack Black, was released on Paramount+ and other digital platforms on November 25.
On movie rating site IMDB, the synopsis of the movie reads, "When a young boy mails his Christmas wish list to Santa with one crucial spelling error, a devilish Jack Black arrives to wreak havoc on the holidays."
Although the holiday comedy did not seem to impress critics, scoring 22% on aggregator site Rotten Tomatoes, it has found a big fan in the 'Just Go With It' actress.
"Watched 2X this week one without kids and once with," Brooklyn Decker posted on her Instagram stories. "Highly recommend both," she added.
After a career in modelling, where she made the cover of the esteemed 'Sports Illustrated' magazine, Decker forayed into acting. The 37-year-old has made appearances in several Hollywood films, including 'Battleship', 'The Devil Wears Prada', and 'What to Expect When You're Expecting' alongside Cameron Diaz. Her last big-screen role came in 2018's 'Support the Girls', a highly-acclaimed film directed by Andrew Bujalski.
Decker married 2003 US Open winner and former World No. 1 Andy Roddick in 2009, and the couple have two children together.
Brooklyn Decker showed admiration for Andy Roddick's Hollywood dreams
In September 2024, Brooklyn Decker commended her husband's latest Hollywood role: in pickleball-themed comedy 'The Dink' alongside noted comedian Jake Johnson and veteran actress Mary Steenburgen.
Decker recently posted the link to a Variety article sharing the news, captioning it, "Jesus, what can't this man do?!"
Notably, Roddick was a participant in the inaugural Pickleball Slam, held in 2023. He is also set to participate in the second iteration of the event, alongside Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf, and Genie Bouchard.
The American is also no stranger to the camera, having guest-starred in the Decker-starring comedy 'Just Go With It', which also featured Adam Sandler. On November 8, 2003, Roddick became only the second professional tennis player, after American legend Chris Evert, to host the long-running comedy series 'Saturday Night Live.'
Earlier this year, the American launched a podcast series for Tennis Channel named 'Served with Andy Roddick', which has accumulated over 50,000 subscribers on YouTube.
