Aryna Sabalenka recently featured in an interview alongside Anna Kalinskaya as the two discussed which tennis player they would swap their lives with. While the latter revealed that she would trade her life with Anna Kournikova, the Belarusian made a different choice.
The two recently featured in a behind-the-scenes interview with Harper's Bazaar Australia. The magazine shared a video of the interview on their Instagram handle, where they were seen doing a fun Q&A session with each other. When asked which WTA star she would swap her life with, Sabalenka said:
"Oh, can I say nobody? No, I love my life. I don't wanna swap with anybody. So boring I am, right? Who it would be for you?" she said.
Meanwhile, Anna Kalinskaya chose Anna Kournikova, a two-time Australian Open winner.
"Kournikova," Kalinskaya said.
Aryna Sabalenka started her 2025 season with a bang, winning the Brisbane International by defeating Polina Kudermetova 4-6, 6-3, 6-2. Currently, the World No. 1 is preparing to compete at the Australian Open 2025, slated to begin from January 12 onward.
Aryna Sabalenka opened up about her mindset for the Australian Open 2025
Aryna Sabalenka spoke about her mindset for the Australian Open in a press conference ahead of the Brisbane International. Expressing her confidence in being able to clinch the Australian Slam for the third consecutive time, she said (as quoted by Punto De Break):
"I definitely have confidence in Grand Slams. I know I am capable of many things, that I am capable of holding that beautiful trophy. It's good to know, but there is still a long way to go. Many things need to be done. I prefer to focus step by step. It's good to know that you have the ability to win the Australian Open, but it's better to focus on yourself, on improving each day, on doing your best and expecting the best. That is my mindset for the Australian Open," Sabalenka said.
Aryna Sabalenka is all set to defend her Australian Open title this year after she won the tournament after a terrific showdown against Qinwen Zheng last year. Prior to that, she clinched the title in 2023, defeating Elena Rybakina after coming back from a set to win 4-6, 6-3, 6-4.
