World No. 1 Iga Swiatek has been dominating the WTA tour in recent weeks. Her impressive form continued at the BNP Paribas Open, where she defeated American Claire Liu 6-0, 6-1 in the second round on Saturday, March 11.
The Pole has been known to produce bagels (6-0) and breadsticks (6-1) scores, earning her game the nickname of 'Iga's Bakery'. During her win over Liu, Swiatek produced a point that consolidated her superiority and left fans awestruck.
During one of the games, Swiatek had to cover the court from one end to the other to return Liu's shots. The Pole ended up winning the point, leaving her fans in awe.
After the match, the BNP Paribas Open's official Twitter account shared a video of the point. Fans hailed Swiatek's skills and compared her ability to cover the court to Serbia's Novak Djokovic, who is renowned for keeping the ball in play through his splits.
"PUT THIS ON A BILLBOARD IN TIMES SQUAREEEEE," one fan tweeted.
"Another day, another shot where Queen Iga is mirroring King Novak. SCREAMING!!!" another wrote.
