Aryna Sabalenka recently shared highlights from her getaway in Dubai, where her boyfriend, Georgios Frangulis, accompanied her. The Belarusian appeared joyful during their shopping date.
Mid-season injury concerns did not hinder Sabalenka's progress. The World No. 1 staged a strong comeback during the North American hard court swing, capturing titles at the Cincinnati Open and the US Open. She maintained her momentum in the Asian swing, reaching the quarterfinals at the China Open and recently claiming the Wuhan Open title.
Frangulis also joined Sabalenka to celebrate her triumph at the last WTA 1000 event of the season. The Brazilian recently shared pictures on social media, capturing moments from their time in China.
The couple later continued their trip to Dubai. Sabalenka shared a picture on her Instagram story while enjoying a shopping date with her partner.
"@georgiosfrangulis Evening shopping with meu amor," she wrote
Sabalenka and Frangulis have been dating since April 2024, with the Belarusian confirming their relationship on Instagram in May. The 36-year-old founded the Açaí brand Oakberry, established in December 2016. He also serves as a sponsor for the Haas F1 Team.
"My biggest support": Aryna Sabalenka on having Georgios Frangulis by her side
Aryna Sabalenka sat for an interview with People in September, expressing happiness about having Frangulis by her side.
“I am really happy to have him by my side, always cheering me up, always making sure that we are doing some fun stuff," she said.
Sabalenka further emphasized the importance of focusing on life's positives outside of tennis and expressed gratitude for Frangulis' support during challenging moments in her career.
“But I make sure I kind of forget about tennis and focus on the good things and enjoy my life. Even when things are going wrong in my career. So yeah, he was my biggest support and yeah, really happy to have him by my side," she added.
Sabalenka has had a phenomenal season so far, with a win-loss record of 54-12. The Belarusian won both hard-court Majors this year (the Australian Open and the US Open), becoming the first woman to achieve this feat in a single season since Angelique Kerber in 2016.
Sabalenka will be joined by Coco Gauff, Jessica Pegula, Jasmine Paolini, Elena Rybakina, Zheng Qinwen, Barbora Krejcikova, and arch-rival Iga Swiatek at the WTA Finals in Riyadh starting on November 2
