Aryna Sabalenka's boyfriend Georgios Frangulis modeled a bold T-shirt about tennis players breaking rackets instead of hearts amid the Belurasian's Australian Open campaign. The World No.1 beat Clara Tauson on January 17 to qualify for the fourth round.
Frangulis, a Brazilian business who owns superfood brand Oakberry, shared a mirror selfie of himself on Friday, modeling a T-shirt from Broken Rackets. The black colored shirt had a bold quote imprinted on the back about tennis players, which read:
"Tennis players don't break hearts, they break rackets."
Interestingly, Sabalenka has broken her rackets multiple times over her career with notable instances from her defeats at the 2023 US Open and the 2024 Miami Open.
The World No.1 started dating Frangulis in early 2024 with the couple being spotted together for the first time in April. They confirmed the irrelationship in the following month, and both have been highly supportive of each other's careers.
While Sabalenka became an Oakberry ambassador and created a signature açaí bowl for the brand, the Brazillian has been a regular at the tennis matches of the three-time Grand Slam champion, who has termed his support 'priceless'.
"Thank you to my boyfriend for his support. Your support is priceless," Aryna Sabalenka said after her Brisbane International title win
Aryna Sabalenka and boyfriend Georgios booked a private jet to travel to Australian Open
Aryna Sabalenka traveled to the 2025 Australian Open in a private jet alongside her boyfriend Georgios Frangulis and her coaching staff. The defending champion shared a group selfie of the trip in an Instagram stories post last week before landing at the Melbourne Airport.
The World No. 1 had earlier clinched the Brisbane International after defeating Polina Kudermetova 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 in the final on January 5, and received a heartwarming note of appreciation from her Brazillian boyfriend, who wrote:
"Congrats on another one meu amor!"
The 26-year-old is now looking to win her third straight Australian Open title and has got off to a great start in the first week. She downed Sloane Stephens in straight sets in the first round before registering another dominant win against Spain's Jéssica Bouzas Maneiro in the second round.
Sabalenka took on Clara Tauson in the third round on Friday and survived an intense contest to win 7-6 (5) 6-4. She will now face Mirra Andreeva in the fourth round on January 19.
