Sabalenka shared that Frangulis had surprised her with an acai bowl from Oakberry, a company he co-founded and serves as the CEO.
Sabalenka kicked off her 2025 season at the WTA 500 hardcourt tournament in Queensland. She is the the top seed at the tournament and began her campaign in the second round after receiving a first round bye.
The World No.1 defeated Renata Zarazua 6-4, 6-0 in the opening match. In the third round, she secured a victory over 15th seed Yulia Putintseva with a score of 7-6(2), 6-4. Most recently, in the quarterfinals, the Belarusian registered a 6-3, 6-4 win over Marie Bouzkova in just one hour and 44 minutes to secure her spot in the semifinals.
Following the last eight win, Aryna Sabalenka took to social media to share a photo of her "post match meal," a celebratory acai bowl from Oakberry, with Georgios Frangulis standing in the background.
“@georgiosfrangulis Post match meal @oakberry," Sabalenka captioned her Instagram story.
It's worth noting that Sabalenka had a runner-up finish at the Brisbane International in 2024, falling short of winning the title after losing to Elena Rybakina in the final.
