Serena Williams' husband Alexis Ohanian recently talked about how the couple shared parenthood duties while also keeping up with their professional lives. The American couple have two daughters - Alexis Olympia Ohanian Jr., born in September 2017 and Adira River Ohanian, born in August 2023.
In the latest episode of his podcast Business Dad titled Embracing the Grosser Parts of Parenting with Paul Scheer, Ohanian opened up on how he juggled the duties of parenting with Serena Williams.
The Reddit co-founder talked about how the couple managed the duties according to their availability and professional schedules. Both of them being prolific personalities have a lot of duties to tend to, He shared how even the smallest of things like taking the kid to school on a certain was a decision that was never certain.
"Broadly, like as, as a mom and a dad, it ebbs and flows. I think even on an emotional level, it's so interesting to see how, you know, whether or not one of us is taking her to school that day or another. Like that's, that's sort of the ebb and flow of whatever we might have going on in our own professional lives," Serena Williams' husband said.
Alexis Ohanian said that the relationship of a family had a lot of different layers that he found fun. While talking about Adira, Ohanian said how he was still unpeeling the human and trying to learn the different emotions one feels and said it was a gratifying experience.
"But then even the relationship has layers to it, which has been really fun. But for a six-year-old, I'm just starting to unpeel the human and really learn all the different feelings and desires and hopes and fears. And it's awesome," Ohanian ended.
