It is that time of the year again when the season's best players will go toe-to-toe at the ATP Finals. The year-end championships will be held from November 10-17, in Turin, Italy. Usually all eight spots are locked in by this time but the fight for the last remaining slots will go down to the wire for this year's edition.
Jannik Sinner, Carlos Alcaraz, Alexander Zverev, Daniil Medvedev, and Taylor Fritz are the only players to have qualified thus far. Four players are in contention for the last three spots. Novak Djokovic, the defending champion, is in sixth place as of now.
Djokovic hasn't competed in an ATP tournament since his runner-up finish at the Shanghai Masters, and there is no clarity regarding his future plans as well. Casper Ruud, Alex de Minaur and Andrey Rublev are currently seventh, eighth, and ninth, respectively, in the Race to Turin.
All three of them are in action at this week's ATP 250 events in Metz and Belgrade, and each of them needs a deep run to qualify for the ATP Finals. However, if Djokovic decides against competing, then all three of them make the cut regardless of their results this week.
The ATP Finals is a showcase of the tour's best talent, and is an exciting way to wrap up the tennis season. On that note, here's how one can watch their favorite players in action at the tournament:
