With the 2025 Australian Open ending, some ATP rankings shifted, and players moved up and down the ranking charts. However, Jannik Sinner remained No. 1 due to his remarkable run in Melbourne, which saw the Italian win his third Major.

Sinner's triumph at the Australian Open meant that the Italian successfully defended his 2000 points from last year. He is currently on 11830 points, comfortably ahead of second-ranked Alexander Zverev, who is on 8135 points. The German player gained 500 points from his run to the final at the Australian Open.

Carlos Alcaraz remained in the third spot as he had successive quarterfinal defeats at the Australian Open. Taylor Fritz remained 4th even after losing 300 points due to his third-round loss to Gael Monfils. However, the big shift was for Daniil Medvedev, who was knocked out of the second round in Melbourne this year. This caused the Russian player to drop 1250 points and move him from 5th to 7th on the rankings with 3780 points.

The drop for Medvedev helped Casper Ruud and Novak Djokovic to move one spot up to 5th (4160 points) and 6th (3900 points) positions, respectively. Tommy Paul was the new entrant to the top 10 rankings.

With a 300-point gain, the American player moved from 11th and attained a career-best ranking of 9 with 3495 points. Alex de Minaur (8th), and Andrey Rublev (10) were the other two players who rounded off the Top-10.

Outside the Top 10, Ben Shelton made a strong shift in the rankings. With his impressive semifinal run in Melbourne, the American player earned 700 points. This helped him move up 6 positions in the rankings, and take him to 14th position with 2980 points.

Young players like Alex Michelsen, Learner Tien, and Joao Fonseca performed remarkably at the Australian Open. Fonseca lit the tournament alight when he knocked out ninth-seeded Andrey Rublev in the first round. The Brazilian youngster lost in the next round but has broken inside the top 100, currently in 99th place.

Both the American young guns, Alex Michelsen and Learner Tien reached the fourth Round in Melbourne. While Michelsen defeated seeded players like Stefanos Tsitsipas and Karen Khachanov, Tien got the better of fifth-seeded Daniil Medvedev. Both the Americans reached career-high positions, with Michelsen moving up to 36 and Tien moving up to 80 on the rankings.

Among other players, Lorenzo Sonego had a decent run at the Australian Open, reaching the quarterfinal in Melbourne. He gained 350 points and moved 22 places up, reaching 35 on the ATP Rankings.
