Day 3 of the ASB Classic will take place on January 1, 2025, with four of the eight Round of 16 singles matches taking place. A few doubles matches will also be played in Auckland.
The second day of the WTA 250 event saw the likes of top seed Madison Keys and Alycia Parks book their spots in the Round of 16. While Keys beat Lucia Bronzetti 6-4, 6-4, Parks triumphed 2-6, 6-2, 6-3 over third seed Amanda Anisimova.
The third day of the tournament will see Naomi Osaka attempt to cement her spot in the quarterfinals, as she takes on Julia Grabher in what will be the very first meeting between the two. This will be the only singles match of the day to not feature an American.
Sofia Kenin will face fifth Clara Tauson while Bernarda Pera will be up against Canadian Rebecca Marino. There will also be an all-American fixture between eighth seed Katie Volynets and Ann Li.
