Day 3 of the ASB Classic 2025 in Auckland will mark the start of the second round. Former top 10 player Cameron Norrie crashed out in the first round after a straight-sets loss to Facundo Diaz Acosta. Sixth seed Flavio Cobolli was another casualty, though he had to throw in the towel due to an injury at the start of the second set.

Top seed Ben Shelton will commence his campaign on Wednesday. He was a semifinalist here last year. He received a bye into the second round and will face the winner of the match between Pablo Carreno Busta and Jakub Mensik. Second seed Alejandro Tabilo will begin his title defense against qualifier Nishesh Basavareddy.

Gael Monfils is another well-known name in the fray and will take on Jan-Lennard Struff. The former rallied from a set down to beat Pedro Martinez in his opener, while the latter beat Bu Yunchaokete in straight sets in the first round. Sebastian Baez, Francisco Cerundolo, and Alex Michelsen are some of the other notable names in the mix.
