While the 2024 Australian Open was Sinner's first Grand Slam title, Sabalenka had lifted the trophy in 2023 as well. The big-hitting Belarusian is thus aiming for a hat-trick of titles this time around.

Sabalenka, however, will face stiff resistance from a compefitive field led by the likes of Iga Swiatek and Coco Gauff. Two-time Grand Slam finalist Jasmine Paolini rounds out the top four seeds.

Former winners who will be in action at the tournament's 2025 edition include Sabalenka, Victoria Azarenka, Naomi Osaka, Caroline Wozniacki and Sofia Kenin. Add a host of other title hopefuls to the mix and you get a jam-packed draw.

Sinner's biggest challenge to a successful title defence, meanwhile, is likely to come from 10-time former winner Novak Djokovic (who he beat in the semifinals this year) and Carlos Alcaraz.

Taylor Fritz, meanwhile, will lead a host of talented Americans which include the likes of Ben Shelton and Frances Tiafoe.
