After weeks of excitement, the Australian Open 2025 will finally get underway from this Sunday, January 12. Two-time defending champion Aryna Sabalenka headlines the order of play for the first day. She will take on former US Open champion Sloane Stephens in one of the must-see matches of the day.
Last year's runner-up Zheng Qinwen will also take to the court against qualifier Anca Todoni for her first-round match. World No. 2 Alexander Zverev, twice a semifinalist Down Under, will begin his campaign against Frenchman Lucas Pouille.
Teen sensation Mirra Andreeva will take on Marie Bouzkova in her opener. World No. 6 Casper Ruud is another big name in the mix on the first day.
