Day 3 of the Australian Open 2025 will mark the end of the first-round in singles. World No. 6 Elena Rybakina, the runner-up here in 2023, will begin her campaign against Aussie hopeful Emerson Jones. Aside from being one of the title contenders, the Kazakh's coaching situation has put her in the spotlight.
Fourth seed Taylor Fritz will face compatriot Jenson Brooksby in his opener, who's on the comeback trail. Madison Keys, who won the title in Adelaide before her arrival in Melbourne, will also face another American, Ann Li, in the first round. Eight seed Emma Navarro will also go up against her fellow countrywoman, Peyton Stearns, in the first round.
Jasmine Paolini, a finalist at last year's French Open and Wimbledon, will begin her run in Melbourne against qualifier Sijia Wei. Daniil Medvedev, thrice a runner-up Down Under, will take on Kasidit Samrej in his opening round contest. Holger Rune, Alex de Minaur, Daria Kasatkina, and Andrey Rublev are some of the other well-known names in the mix on Tuesday.
