The Australian Open 2025 is about to begin in a few days. The world's best players from the ATP Tour will battle it out in Melbourne starting on January 12, and their quest will conclude with the championship round on January 26. The main draw ceremony for this year's edition will take place on January 9.

All top players on the men's side are set to compete. World No. 1 and defending champion Jannik Sinner is the top seed at this year's edition. Following his triumph Down Under, he also won the US Open and had a 73-6 record in 2024. Given his results last year, he is the man to beat this time.

Alexander Zverev, a semifinalist in Melbourne last year, is the second seed. He's currently dealing with an injury scare and pulled out of his quarterfinal clash at the United Cup a week ago. Carlos Alcaraz is the third seed and is vying to complete a Career Grand Slam, having already won the other three Majors.

Taylor Fritz, who was the runner-up at the US Open a few months ago, is the fourth seed. He started the new season on a high by winning the United Cup with his fellow Americans. Daniil Medvedev, thrice a runner-up here, is the fifth seed.

Three-time Major finalist Casper Ruud is the sixth seed. Novak Djokovic, the 10-time Australian Open champion, is seeded seventh. Aside from an 11th title at the venue, he is bidding to claim his 25th Major title, as well as the 100th of his career. Alex de Minaur is the eighth seed, followed by Andrey Rublev and Grigor Dimitrov as the ninth and tenth seeds, respectively.

Taylor Fritz is the only American man to secure a top 10 seeding at the Australian Open 2025. However, four more men from the country are also seeded this year. Tommy Paul, a semifinalist here two years ago, is seeded 12th, followed by Frances Tiafoe as the 17th seed, Ben Shelton as the 21st seed, and Sebastian Korda as the 22nd seed.

Stefanos Tsitsipas, who lost to Novak Djokovic in the 2023 final here, is the 11th seed. Three Frenchmen are seeded as well. Ugo Humbert leads the charge as the 14th seed, with Arthur Fils and Giovanni Mpetshi Perricard behind him as the 20th and 30th seeds respectively.

Holger Rune is seeded 13th this time, and Jack Draper is the 15th seed. This is the Brit's highest seeding at a Major thus far. Aside from Alex de Minaur, the host nation has two more seeded players in the mix as well. Alexei Popyrin is the 25th seed, and Jordan Thompson is the 27th seed.

Other notable players to be seeded include Lorenzo Musetti (16th), Hubert Hurkacz (18th), Karen Khachanov (19th), Felix Auger-Aliassime (29th), and Flavio Cobolli (32nd).

Here's the full list of seeded players at the Australian Open 2025. Seedings are based on the ATP rankings for the week of January 6.
