Swiss tennis player Belinda Bencic recently shared a glimpse of her newborn daughter, Bella, as she plans to return to the sport in the coming days. Bella is the child of Bencic and her longtime partner, Martin Hromkovic, who also serves as her strength and conditioning coach.
Bencic and Hromkovic have been dating each other since November 2018. In addition to being Bencic’s fitness coach, Hromkovic is known for being a football player who primarily competed as a defender.
About five years after the beginning of their relationship, Bencic shared the news of the couple welcoming their first baby via Instagram and wrote:
“Expecting our little miracle soon! ✨🍼 We can’t wait to meet you🤍"
The couple welcomed their daughter Bella on April 23, 2024. The news was shared publicly the following day when Martin Hromkovic announced it on Instagram, writing:
“Bella , 23.4.2024 Our love 🩷"
Since the birth of her child, Belinda Bencic has shared moments of spending time with her newborn by taking Bella to her tennis practices and for walks in her stroller. Additionally, Bencic and Hromkovic have set up a baby room for Bella with the assistance of KAS Kopenhagen and SORU Zürich, who are known for designing kids' rooms and furniture.
Recently, the Tokyo Olympics singles gold medalist shared a photo that featured the shadow of her holding baby Bella. In the image, the Swiss tennis star is seen embracing her daughter in her arms.

Bencic has already begun her journey to a comeback as she could be spotted on the tennis court on her social media platform, Instagram.

During her recent interaction with Swiss media, Belinda Bencic announced that she would soon be making a comeback, adding:
“It was clear that I would come back after that [Bella's birth]. I’m 27, I feel good, I still have a few good years ahead of me on the Tour. I’m very happy with the way we’re doing things.”
Bencic further mentioned how her boyfriend and fitness partner Martin Hromkovic is helping her prepare for a comeback.
“I’m also still breastfeeding. You have to take that into account. Martin is adapting my fitness plan accordingly. My body feels good,” she added.
The two-time Olympic medalist last competed at the 2023 San Diego Open where she lost against Aliaksandra Sasnovich, where the Belarusian tennis player produced an upset winning the match by 6-3, 3-6, 6-2 to reach the Round of 16.
