Paula Badosa, on her day, is one of the better tennis players out there, but she's also a big sister. Many people do not know that she has a younger sister called Jana Badosa, who was born in 2008 and is also a tennis player.
Time will tell whether she ever gets to the heights her older sister has reached, being a former number two in the world, but what is known is that the sisters share a very close bond and get along well.
The two are currently in the United Arab Emirates, where Paula is competing at the World Tennis League in Abu Dhabi. Away from the courts, Badosa elected to spend some time with her sister as they went to see the film Moana 2.
According to Badosa, who posted about it on social media, it was to relive some of the childhood memories she has with her sister, as Jana is getting older and there may be less and less time for such things.
Saturday for Badosa will be 'date night,' as Paula termed it on social media, and it's of the cinematic variety. Stefanos Tsitsipas, who generally accompanies Badosa on 'dates,' will have to sit this one out, but he's got plenty to think about after getting beaten by Andrey Rublev 6-1 in the World Tennis League.
"Came to watch Moana 2 with my little sis. Bringing back our childhood memories…Best Saturday date night" - Badosa wrote on X.
Sisterly bond of Paula Badosa and Jana
Jana Badosa, much like her older sister Paula Badosa, is a tennis player, and they've been pictured practicing together on a number of occasions. While there is a significant age gap between them, the younger sister gets along well with her older sister, accompanying her around the block, including to the gym.
A photo of the duo in the gym appeared on social media recently, showing the sisters in a very good mood, which further shows their relationship as a really solid one. Time will tell whether she follows Paula to the professional level, but if she does, she will have an experienced voice in her corner who would be able to tell her everything she needs to know about being a professional tennis player.
She's also based in Dubai like her older sister Paula, who has used Dubai as her hub for a couple of years now, so participating in the World Tennis League gave the sisters ample time to spend together.
