Day 2 of the seventh edition of the Laver Cup kicked off with Daniil Medvedev taking on Frances Tiafoe. The American prevailed as he staged a resilient comeback from a set down to win 3-6, 6-4, 10-5, and give Team World a 4-2 lead.
A video of Alcaraz and Dimitrov embracing each other during Medvedev vs Tiafoe has gone viral and also sparked a meme fest among tennis fans online.
A fan was excited to see an unexpected duo in the form of the Spaniard and the Bulgarian.

Grigor Dimitrov, who is making his second Laver Cup appearance, secured an impressive 7-6(4), 7-6(2) win against Alejandro Tabilo in the third match of the opening day, putting Team Europe in a 2-1 lead.
Carlos Alcaraz made his Laver Cup debut in doubles alongside Alexander Zverev against the American duo of Taylor Fritz and Ben Shelton, who restored parity at the end of the opening day with a 7-6(5), 6-4 win.
On Day 2, Frances Tiafoe claimed a come from behind win over Daniil Medvedev to put Team World ahead.
However, it was Carlos Alcaraz, who avenged his doubles loss to Ben Shelton with a statement 6-4, 6-4 to level the Laver Cup once again.
This seventh edition of the Laver Cup will also mark the end of an era as this will be the final time Bjorn Borg and John McEnroe will be captaining Team Europe and Team World respectively. They are set to be replaced by Yannick Noah and Andre Agassi in 2025.
