Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner attended a Nike event in Shanghai on Thursday, just days before their Masters 1000 campaign in the city.
Sinner and Alcaraz are regarded as two of the fiercest on-court rivals, given the quality of their matches. Their latest showdown, the third of the season, was a grueling battle in the China Open final, where the Spaniard ultimately prevailed 6-7(6), 6-4, 7-6(3). Despite their intense rivalry, the two have a good relationship off the court.
After their China Open summit clash, the pair traveled together to Shanghai. They were seen on a flight to the city with their respective teams. Before kicking off their campaigns, Alcaraz and Sinner were spotted at a Nike event, creating memorable moments.

Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s experience was made memorable by special handmade gifts from their Chinese fans. At the event, the World No. 1 received an adorable plush fox. Despite its small size, the fan reportedly spent one and a half months crafting the stuffed toy for the Italian.

#2 Sinner and Alcaraz share a fun moment learning their Chinese names
Jannik Sinner and Carlos Alcaraz learned their names in Chinese. According to the instructor guiding the duo, Sinner’s name is pronounced as "Sin-Da," while the Spaniard’s name is rendered as "Akka."
After learning, both players pronounced their names in Chinese, leaving the audience in stitches.

Sinner and Alcaraz also engaged in a fun team game on the court. The World No. 1 had recently fallen to the Spaniard in a closely contested match at the China Open final, ending with scores of 6-7(6), 6-4, 7-6(3), before they both arrived in Shanghai for the Nike event.
Reflecting on his recent defeat to the four-time Major champion, Sinner told his team that he didn't want to lose again, urging everyone to strive for victory. The 23-year-old then led a team chant, asking them to shout "ice cream" on the count of three.
"I lost yesterday, so I don't want to lose today. Okay, we can do it. On three we say ice cream," Sinner said.
Meanwhile, Alcaraz laughed as he watched Sinner playfully leading his team.

Nike also unveiled several stickers at the event, which were printed on the t-shirts worn by Alcaraz and Sinner. Additionally, the apparel brand also shared a sticker featuring a fox wearing a blue hat, with the 'Swoosh' in the center.

For those unaware, Sinner was nicknamed 'The Fox' during his school years, which is why he chose the animal as his logo. The fox's ears symbolize the mountains where the Italian spent much of his early years skiing.
