Boris Becker and a host of other celebrities congratulated Martina Navratilova and her wife Julia Lemigova earlier today on adopting two young boys. The couple made the announcement through their agent, Mary Greenham, on Wednesday, August 14.

18-time Grand Slam champion Navratilova and former model Lemigova's relationship dates back to as long ago as 2000 when they first crossed paths at the French Open. They began dating six years later. Navratilova proposed to Lemigova at the US Open in September 2014, after being together for a while, and they eventually exchanged vows on December of the same year.

The pair now, after a decade-long relationship, have expanded their family by adopting two young boys.

A host of stars came together to send the pair congratulatory messages. German tennis legend and former men's world No. 1 Boris Becker was among the many who reacted to the news via social media.

"By far the best news of today!!! Congratulations to Martina & Julia!" Becker wrote on X (formerly Twitter).

Navratilova who underwent treatment for breast cancer in 2010, didn't think welcoming a new child was ever a possibility. She even made the admission during an interview with Piers Morgan in March 2023.

Navratilova was finally announced 'cancer free' in 2023 and things seemed to have taken a turn for the better ever since.

"We are over the moon, recognizing the challenges and the rewards for everybody," Navratilova was quoted as saying by PEOPLE in response to becoming a first-time parent.

Navratilova is due to become a first-time parent. Lemigova, a former star on the reality series Real Housewives Of Miami, has two daughters from her previous relationship.

Martina Navratilova famously beat cancer last year after an almost 13-year battle with ductal carcinoma in situ, also called stage 0 breast cancer. Additionally, she was also diagnosed with throat cancer at the end of 2022.

Julia Lemigova opened up to the media after the Czech-born American tennis great was declared cancer-free.

"I am so proud," the Bravo star said. "I don't even have the words to say how proud I am of my champion for playing singles against the nastiest double partners she ever faced in her life, and beating them both triumphantly. She amazes me every day."

She admitted then that she didn't know what the future holds for the pair, but that she was incredibly happy that Navratilova was deemed healthy while going on to also 'thank life' for the good news.

"I have no idea what the future shows, really don't,” continued Lemigova. “But I'm just happy to be healthy. I'm happy that Martina is healthy. Just thanking life for giving us good news, and that we have each other."
