Carlos Alcaraz makes an impression on Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle after Australian Open practice

Taylor Fritz's girlfriend Morgan Riddle recently hailed Carlos Alcaraz's character during the Spaniard's practice session with the American No. 1 ahead of the 2025 Australian Open. Both men are on the opposite halves of the draw and can only meet in the summit clash, a place both know what it takes to reach.

Riddle has been a constant pillar of support in Fritz's career in recent years and is often seen cheering him on in person or through social media. She recently shared a TikTok of the two men enjoying a practice session, gearing up for the Happy Slam.

A clip of the TikTok was shared by a Carlos Alcaraz fan page on X (formerly Twitter), where the American influencer could be heard hailing the Spanish superstar's character. The video also showed some highlights from their training.

"(Fritz) has practice with Alcaraz, who is genuinely one of the funniest and nicest people on tour."

Interestingly, this is not the first time Morgan Riddle has been impressed by one of Taylor Fritz's rivals. During the third episode of the second season of the now-canceled tennis docuseries 'Break Point', Riddle called Jannik Sinner 'cute' ahead of her boyfriend's quarterfinal match against the Italian at the 2023 Indian Wells.

Riddle questioned the World No. 4 about the Italian's form to which he said,

"I mean, I think he's been playing good all year."

She playfully teased the American No. 1.

"I think it'll be a fun match. He's fun to watch. He's so cute."

This left Fritz in splits as he let out a,

"God."

Carlos Alcaraz will face Alexander Shevchenko, Taylor Fritz to play compatriot Jenson Brooksby in opening round of 2025 Australian Open

Carlos Alcaraz will be the third seed at the 2025 Australian Open and face Alexander Shevchenko in the opening round. This will be the second meeting between the two men with the Spaniard leading 1-0.

His quarter will also feature seventh seed and 10-time Melbourne conqueror Novak Djokovic who will be going for a record-breaking 25th Grand Slam. Interestingly, Alcaraz will also be looking to become the youngest man to clinch the career Grand Slam.

On the other hand, Taylor Fritz, seeded fourth, will play compatriot Jenson Brooksby, who has recently made his return to tennis after facing suspension and dealing with injuries. The two Americans played each other at the US Open in 2021 with Brooksby stunning Fritz in four sets.

Defending champion Jannik Sinner has also drawn the short end of the stick with Nicolas Jarry as his opening matchup. Their head-to-head is at 1-1.
