After his loss to Novak Djokovic at the Australian Open quarterfinal, Carlos Alcaraz will next be in action at the ABN AMRO Open. The event will take place in Rotterdam, starting from February 3.

Alcaraz, the World No. 3 began the season at the Melbourne Major and looked in good form. With a modified serving action, heavier racket, and other small alterations to his game, the Spaniard looked determined to win the only Major missing from his trophy cabinet.

The third seed made his way past the draw and set up a blockbuster clash with Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinal. The 21-year-old was the favorite before the match as per pundits and analysts. However, being the champion he is, Novak Djokovic fought back valiantly and won in four sets.

Following his Melbourne exit, the Spaniard will be in action at the ABN AMRO Open, an ATP 500 event. Alcaraz will be the second seed at the event, with defending champion Jannik Sinner being the top seed. Other seeds include Daniil Medvedev, Alex de Minaur, Andrey Rublev, Grigor Dimitrov, Holger Rune, and Hubert Hurkacz.

The event will have 32 entrants, of which 26 spots have been filled. Three wildcards have been given to Stan Wawrinka, Botic Van de Zandschulp, and Mees Rottgering.
