Carlos Alcaraz has set himself one big goal for the 2025 season -- to win the Australian Open. Should he do so, the Spaniard is ready to go against his father's wishes and get a tattoo celebrating the title triumph.

Alcaraz has four Grand Slam titles - two Wimbledons and one French Open and US Open. With the Australian Open the only Major left to be claimed, winning it next year will make him the youngest man in the Open Era to complete the Career Grand Slam - lifting all four Slams at least once.

Alcaraz attended an awards ceremony hosted by the Sports Press Association of the Region of Murcia , where he was awarded Best Sportsman of 2024 from the region. At the event, the World No. 3 shared his goals for the upcoming season.

Alcaraz joked that while his father doesn't like the idea of him getting a tattoo too much, he will get one if he achieves the Career Slam.

"I am a very ambitious boy and I want more and Australia is what I want to get tattooed on me even though my father doesn't like it very much. Being champion there is my main objective for next season," he said.

The former World No. 1 is a big fan of tattoo, and has gotten ones to celebrate each of his previous Grand Slam wins.

Carlos Alcaraz also spoke about his off-season plans, saying that he will give himself a break for Christmas and New Year to prepare well for 2025.

"I'm starting a tough month of training, but being at home for Christmas and New Year's is wonderful and gives me a break," he said.

In the years past, the Australian Open hasn't been a particularly happy hunting ground for Carlos Alcaraz. In three previous attempts, Alcaraz has only gone as far as the quarterfinals.

In 2024, he made it to the final eight before losing to Alexander Zverev in four sets. Next year, he will be seeded No. 3, meaning he would have to face off against Zverev or World No. 1 Jannik Sinner in the semifinals.

As of now, Alcaraz isn't scheduled to appear in any of the warm-up tournaments in the lead-up to the Australian Open.
