Carlos Alcaraz recently unveiled a special tennis bag adorned with his Grand Slam achievements during an exhibition match at the 2025 Australian Open. As the first Grand Slam of the year kicks off on Sunday, tennis stars from around the world have already arrived in Melbourne, ready to compete.

The Spaniard opted to skip all warm-up tournaments ahead of the 2025 Australian Open and has been seeded No. 3 in the main draw. On Wednesday, he faced Alex de Minaur in a charity match but was defeated by the Aussie 7-5, 4-6, 10-5.

Prior to the match, Eurosport shared an image of Alcaraz walking onto the court with a customized Babolat tennis bag and his gear.

A corner of the bag featured a design showcasing all the Grand Slam titles Alcaraz has won. The design included a star representing each Grand Slam tournament, along with the years of his victories: Wimbledon in 2023 and 2024, the US Open in 2022, and the French Open in 2024.

Alcaraz, who is aiming for a career Grand Slam at this year's edition, has participated in the Australian Open three times. In his first two appearances, he failed to progress beyond the third round. After missing the 2023 tournament due to a leg injury, he had an impressive run at last season’s edition, reaching the quarterfinals where he was outclassed by Alexander Zverev.

At the end of the 2024 season, Carlos Alcaraz told Marca that he hopes to complete his career Grand Slam at the 2025 Australian Open. He added that, despite his father’s disapproval of tattoos, he intends to get one to commemorate the victory if he wins the tournament.

"I am a very ambitious person and I want to win the Australian Open to complete my career Grand Slam," he said.
"I want 2025 to be an even more exciting year. Let’s just say I want more. Australia is what I want to get tattooed, even though my dad doesn’t like it very much. To be champion there is my main goal for next season,” Carlos Alcaraz added.

The 21-year-old has a tradition of commemorating his Grand Slam victories with tattoos. After winning his first Grand Slam title at the 2022 US Open, he tattooed the date "11.09.22" near his right elbow. To celebrate his Wimbledon Championships victories, he has a strawberry tattoo on his right ankle. For his French Open victory, he inked an Eiffel Tower along with the date on his left leg.
