Going by Chris Evert's social media posts, she is quite fond of her sister and her daughter Remi. In 2019, she took to X to post a heartwarming picture with both of them, whom she described as "beautiful."

"Out to dinner with the beautiful Shane girls, Clare and Remi," she captioned the picture on X.

Again, in 2020, Evert posted that she had surprised Clare and the rest of her family, comprising her daughters Remi and Tatum and husband Steven, at Aspen, Colorado, where they reside.

Chris Evert's post comes against the backdrop of the Australian Open, the first Grand Slam of the year, entering its third week. Days before the Slam got underway, Evert wished luck to home hope Ajla Tomljanovic, whom she has been mentoring.

"Twenty years of friendship with @ajlatom and still going strong.. Good luck Down Under!," Evert captioned her picture with the Australian at her tennis academy.

The Aussie fell to Diana Shnaider, the 12th seed from Russia, in the Round of 64.

Chris Evert has frankly discussed her recovery from cancer

Tennis legend Chris Evert beat cancer for the second time last year. The 70-year-old was first diagnosed in December 2021 and announced she was cancer-free in January 2023. However, the cancer returned in December 2023 and she underwent another round of chemotherapy.

Talking to The New York Times last year, Evert has frankly discussed her battle with the disease.

"Some people have cancer once and it goes away, and they live for 30 or 40 more years. That’s a wonderful story. It’s not always like that. But my doctor told me I won’t die from this," Evert said.
Describing her chemotherapy sessions, she added, “The first four or five days I feel like crap and I’m nauseous and weak and I have bone aches. But after four or five days it goes away, and then I have two and a half weeks to feel OK before my next one. With the improvements they’ve made with chemo over the last 25 to 30 years, I can’t complain."

Post her cancer diagnosis and recovery, Chris Evert has been spending valuable time bonding with her family. She also posts frequent updates from her tennis academy.
