American tennis player Christopher Eubanks recently reacted to a video of him dancing alongside Serena Williams and Coco Gauff in 2019.
Eubanks, Williams, and Gauff participated in Patrick Mouratoglou's training camp in Boca Raton, Florida prior to the 2019 Australian Open.
In preparation for the Grand Slam, the French coach arranged for a team-building experience that included a boxing session with the legendary Mike Tyson and a night of entertainment with renowned DJ, Bob Sinclar. Additionally, the group enjoyed karaoke and dance lessons led by fitness trainer Shaun T.
On Wednesday, March 29, tennis journalist, Bastien Fachan took to social media to share a video of Eubanks dancing with 23-time Grand Slam champion Williams and then-15-year-old Gauff.
The journalist expressed his admiration for the 26-year-old, citing the moment as one of his favorites, where Eubanks effortlessly outshone both Williams and Gauff on the dance floor.
"My favourite Chris Eubanks moment remains when he outdid both Serena Williams & Coco Gauff in a dance-off," Fachan tweeted.
Eubanks responded to the tweet and playfully inquired why Fachan still possessed the video.
"WHY DO YOU STILL HAVE THESE VIDEOS?!?!?! 😭😭😭," Christopher Eubanks tweeted.
Christopher Eubanks to face Daniil Medvedev in Miami Open 2023 quarter-finals
Daniil Medvedev will take on Christopher Eubanks, a first-time Masters 1000 quarter-finalist, on March 30 as he strives to secure his first Miami Open championship. Eubanks earned his spot in the quarter-finals after beginning the tournament in the qualifying draw.
If Medvedev emerges victorious, he could potentially face his fellow countryman, Karen Khachanov, in the semi-finals. Khachanov is set to compete against another unexpected quarter-finalist, Francisco Cerundolo, in the last eight.
Christopher Eubanks arrived at the Floridian Masters 1000 event after experiencing a four-match losing streak, which included disappointing performances at the Mexican Open and the Indian Wells Masters.
However, he managed to turn the tables in his favor by delivering impressive victories against formidable opponents such as Borna Coric, Gregoire Barrere, and Adrian Mannarino.
The two players have never competed against each other on the main tour, resulting in a head-to-head record of 0-0. The American will need to perform exceptionally well to challenge the World No. 5, who has won 22 out of his last 23 matches and secured titles in Rotterdam, Doha, and Dubai.
If Eubanks manages to pull off an upset, it will undoubtedly be the most significant victory of his career.
