The first-round action will continue on Day 2 of the Cincinnati Open 2024 on Tuesday, August 13. A couple of big names have already bowed out of the tournament. Four-time Major champion Naomi Osaka failed to make it past the qualifying rounds on Monday, going down to Ashlyn Krueger in three sets.
A handful of first-round matches were also played on Monday, and 10th seed Tommy Paul was sent packing by Flavio Cobolli. The American failed to register a win at last week's Canadian Open as well.
Tuesday will feature 2019 US Open champion Bianca Andreescu in action, along with former World No. 1 Karolina Pliskova. The American trio of Taylor Fritz, Ben Shelton, and Frances Tiafoe are among the big names in the mix on the men's side.
