Coco Gauff is all set to begin her campaign at the 2025 Australian Open with brand-new sneakers from New Balance. The shoe company launched its new product line ahead of the Melbourne Major. The product line includes custom-made sneakers for the World No. 3, called the Coco CG2 AO Colorway.

This initiative is part of the three-year deal that Tennis Australia has entered into with New Balance which will enable the latter to be the apparel and shoe partner for the Australian Open and other tennis events in Australia such as the United Cup.

New Balance has been one of the most prominent sponsors for Gauff. This new shoeline comes after the American teenager had a personal shoeline known as the Coco CG1, which was unveiled back in 2022. The New Balance deal approximately earns the American player $1 million every year.

The new Coco CG2 AO colorway gives a peek at a new color palette of sneakers. The shoes are a blend of white and marsh green, with the logo of New Balance embossed on it.

The shoes can be purchased online as well as from offline stores. The Coco CG2 AO colorway has been priced from $127.99 - $ 159.99. The prices differ as per the size specifications of the customer.

Coco Gauff will be one of the top favorites for the 2025 Australian Open

Coco Gauff is in red-hot form ahead of the first Grand Slam of the year. The American helped Team USA clinch the United Cup title, winning all of her five matches, including a final against her nemesis Iga Swiatek. Gauff has shown exceptional form since the latter half of the last season which saw her win the Wuhan Open and the WTA Finals.

At Melbourne, Gauff has a 71 percent win ratio. Overall, the American has a 70 percent win ratio on hard courts with 8 titles to her credit, including the 2023 US Open. Another interesting factor is that she is undefeated in hard-court finals. That will give her confidence in the latter half of the competition if she goes past her initial opponents.

Aryna Sabalenka and Iga Swiatek are two of the closest competitors Gauff has in her quest for a second Major. While she leads the Belarusian in their head-to-head, she also has secured two consecutive victories over the Pole and looked assured against her.
