Coco Gauff & Ben Shelton rock casual night-out looks in Melbourne ahead of Australian Open 2025

Coco Gauff and Ben Shelton were recently spotted spending time with each other ahead of their campaign at the Australian Open 2025.

After playing at the United Cup, Gauff will be competing at the Australian Open on January 13 against Sofia Kenin. Just a day ahead of her match, she had a night out with Ben Shelton, where they donned casual outfits.

A video was shared by a user on X (@tobehonestlele), where Gauff donned a peach-colored top with blue-colored straight-fit jeans. Shelton wore an equally casual outfit, including a black t-shirt and a track pant, while walking on the streets at night. The tweet's caption read:

"Coco looks GORGEOUS and Ben GRRRRWKALQLQW im out."

Ben Shelton started his year by competing at the ASB Classic, where he was ousted in his first match of the tournament. He will next be seen competing in the first round of the Australian Open on January 14 against Brandon Nakashima.

Coco Gauff started her 2025 season on a good note, winning the United Cup for Team USA. En route to the victory, she bested Iga Swiatek in the final.

When Ben Shelton hailed Coco Gauff at US Open 2024

In a press conference during the US Open 2024, Ben Shelton showcased his bond with Coco Gauff by lauding her for her skills. He opened up about her qualities and talked about why people love Coco Gauff so much. Shelton said:

"First of all, her name is Coco. It’s something that sticks in your mind, right? Shout out to Corey and Candi Gauff because I think the name is half of it (smiling). It’s a name you remember. She’s charasmatic. Such a great athlete.

"Has so many qualities out there that resemble a male player. The way she moves and the way she can defend. You see something from her that’s special and different. She plays with a lot of passion. You can tell she cares out there. She’s into it every time she’s out on court. I think that’s something people love."

Apart from being teammates on the court, Gauff and Ben Shelton are also good friends outside it, as they have spent quality time with each other several times. They went to the escape room during the Miami Open 2024 and also shared glimpses of their visit with Christopher Eubanks and his girlfriend, who was also present.
