Coco Gauff took pride in her athletic family's achievements on New Year's Day. The American tennis star has kicked off her 2025 season with stellar performances at the 2025 United Cup.
Coco's parents, Candi Gauff and Corey Guaff, ran track and played basketball in college, respectively. She pursued tennis while her brother Codey Gauff took up baseball. On the other side, her cousins, Cassidy and Courtney Lowe play college basketball in the HBCUAC.
Another cousin, whose daughter Ava is a budding gymnast, listed the family's athletic achievements while wishing a Happy New Year to their followers. The caption also asserted that Coco Gauff and her cousins have their sights set on an even stronger 2025 season.

Gauff has won three straight singles matches at the 2025 United Cup, helping the US team qualify for the semifinals set to take place on January 4, 2025.
Coco Gauff shared appreciation for her basketball playing sisters Cassidy and Courtney Lowe
Cassidy and Courtney Lowe, Coco Gauff's cousins, played basketball at Boca Raton High School before entering their collegiate basketball in the HBCUAC conference. In December, the sisters went head-on against each other with their respective Division I NAIA teams.
As per the Palm Beach Post, Cassidy Lowe said her mother invited all the family members to attend the most awaited battle of the Lowe sisters which Coco also showed an interest in.
"A lot of people are coming. That’s why Coco is interested in coming - to be with all the family we share. We’ve been talking about it for so long. My mom has been planning this for everybody. It’s been a while since I’ve had a large group of people coming to my game. In high school, when me and my sister played, everybody would come. Now in college, it’s different."
Before the game, Coco Gauff lauded the sisters, saying:
"I’m so proud of Cassidy and Courtney for how hard they work. It’s inspiring to see them shine in their sport and I love supporting them. No matter who wins on Monday, we are all family.’’
Coco and Codey played basketball with the Lowe sisters when they were kids. On the other hand, Cassidy stated that she never felt inclined to tennis.
